We are proud to invite You to participate the 40th FIPS-Mouche World Fly Fishing Championship in Kuusamo and Taivalkoski regions, Finland.
Famous rivers Kitkajoki and Kuusinkijoki as well as lakes Kylmäluoma, Petäjälampi and Koverrusjärvi are selected as the venues for the championship to be held on August 10th to 17th, 2021.
It will be 31 years since the World´s were held in Kuusamo. New generation of the competitors will have a chance to show their skill in wild fish waters, with guidance of some ”- 89 Kuusamo Veterans”. The fish, grayling, brown trout, white fish and rainbow trout, and the waters selected to differ from each other will test the ability to use various fly-fishing techniques.
The head quarter will be in Ruka village which offers perfect accommodation and the tastiest local food, ”Wild food from Kuusamo”!
And on top of everything the Oulanka national park and Kitkajoki river valley provides an outstanding scenery for fishing.
